Samsung Galaxy S21 pre-orders are open: price, release date, offers, freebies, more

Samsung announced a trio of smartphones on Thursday – the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and S21 Ultra. All three phones have new designs, with a new array of metal-frame cameras on the back and improved camera features. If you go for the Ultra high end, you can use a S Pen stylus to write or draw on the screen, as you can on any of Samsung’s Note models (but the stylus will not come with it).

This year, all three Galaxy S21 models offer full 5G, and you no longer have to choose between a smoother scrolling experience or the high resolution of the screen – you can now have both at the same time.

Pre-orders are open right now, and all three Galaxy S21 models are expected to start appearing in a few weeks, on Friday, January 29. Everything you need to know to get the latest and greatest from Samsung can be found below.

Samsung is giving away free to those who pre-order any of the three Galaxy S21 models Samsung Galaxy SmartTag Bluetooth tracker, with a credit that can be used in the Samsung store. Credit is $ 100, $ 150, or $ 200, depending on whether you buy the S21, S21 Plus, or S21 Ultra, respectively.

What colors will the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra be available in?

As is generally the case with Samsung, your color options depend on the model.

Galaxy s21: Phantom purple, phantom gray, phantom pink and phantom white. The 256 GB version is only available in phantom gray.
Galaxy s21 plus: Phantom Purple, Phantom Silver and Phantom Black. The 256 GB version is only available in phantom black.
Galaxy S21 Ultra: Phantom silver or phantom black. The 256 GB and 512 GB models will only be available in Phantom Black.

How much will the Galaxy S21 cost me?

The cost of each phone varies depending on the amount of storage. Below are the US prices we currently know for each model.

Manufacturers and Retailers

Samsung is taking pre-orders on its website, offering carrier versions as well as an unlocked variant. If you order from Samsung, you will get a credit of $ 100 for ordering the Galaxy S21, $ 150 for ordering the S21 Plus, or $ 200 for an S21 Ultra. The credit can be used to purchase another item or accessories for your phone through Samsung. Pre-orders will also receive one of Samsung’s new SmartTag Bluetooth trackers for free.

For a limited time, Samsung is offering up to $ 700 off the cost of any S21 model with a qualifying trade-in.

The retail giant is taking pre-orders for all three S21 models, however, you’ll need to be a Verizon or AT&T customer (or be prepared to switch to either carrier).

You can find almost all configurations of the S21 line on the Best Buy site, available for pre-order now. The only model marked as coming, so you can’t order it, is the unlocked version of the three S21 models.

Carriers

Verizon takes pre-orders for all three models and offers a free Galaxy S21 Plus with a qualified trade-in and when you sign up for “selected” unlimited plans.

You can pre-order any of the new models through AT&T. The carrier has deals ranging from 50% off the new Galaxy Buds Pro to a free Galaxy S21 with a trade-in and installment plan.

Pre-order one of the three Galaxy S21 models from T-Mobile. You can get a Galaxy S21 for free with a qualified trade-in. You are not required to add a row for this offer. There is also a one-for-one buy promotion.

Pre-orders for Spectrum customers are now open. If you switch to carrier, you will receive $ 100 with a qualifying trade-in.

Visible does not pre-order, but will start selling the S21 and S21 Plus on launch day, January 29. The prepaid operator is slashing the price of both models a bit, with the S21 starting at $ 792 and the S21 Plus starting at $ 984.

As of Friday, January 15, Altice Mobile has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra. Customers can get up to $ 200 Samsung credit for the pre-order.
