Over the past few months, we’ve heard several reports that the Samsung Galaxy S21 family is expected to feature a high-end Ultra handset, and it might even be compatible with the company’s S Pen stylus.
According to a well-known Twitter leaker Ice universe, the company is set to provide support for the Galaxy S21 Ultra S Pen. Ice Universe is so sure they said it would happen 100%.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have an S Pen slot, like the Samsung Galaxy Note line does, where you can store the stylus to make sure you don’t lose it.
As the Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal pointed out, the company may choose to include the S Pen as an additional accessory that you can purchase alongside the Galaxy S21 Ultra. He doesn’t seem sure about it, but he poses the idea by referring to the Ice Universe tweet.
This does not confirm that there would be an S-Pen inside the Galaxy S21 Ultra. I think you can buy it as an additional accessory? I am also assuming that they will launch cases that can hold the S-Pen. Honestly, I find it good. It is an option for people who want it. https://t.co/7S2x0x5yiMNovember 12, 2020
An optional supplement to an S Pen would allow the company to offer pen holder without further increasing the price of the handset. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is an expensive device on its own, and a stylus inside the phone would only push the price up further north.
The company may decide to sell other accessories such as cases that will allow you to store the S Pen for everyday use so you don’t lose it.
Agarwal doesn’t seem certain of his theory, so take it all with a pinch of salt for now, but it’s an interesting idea and it comes from two sources that are regularly accurate on these kinds of issues.
We hope to find out more about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series sooner rather than later, as there are rumors that the handsets will land as early as the beginning of January.
