Samsung Expands Partnership with Google, Strengthens Commitment to Best-in-Class Security and Productivity Solutions
Samsung Electronics today announced its intention to join Android Enterprise Recommended, a Google-led program to help businesses integrate mobile solutions into their operations. Samsung’s participation in the program gives Samsung customers additional assurance that it meets – and in fact exceeds – the hardware and software requirements set by Google for the business.

Long-standing partnership between Samsung and Google
From the very beginning, Samsung and Google have worked closely together to provide businesses with the best and most secure mobile experience possible. The two companies joined forces almost a decade ago to tackle the most pressing challenges businesses face today: maintaining productivity, protecting the workforce and providing flexibility.
Specifically, over the past two years, Samsung and Google have teamed up to:
- Harmonize Android Enterprise and Samsung’s Knox for Business platform to provide a seamless experience for Android customers who also wanted Samsung’s advanced security and device management capabilities.
- Sync our mobile device enrollment services (Android contactless enrollment and Knox mobile enrollment) to offer corporate customers a variety of services that help streamline the employee onboarding experience and device redeployment.

What this means for Galaxy users
Some Galaxy devices running Android 11 and above, such as S20, Note20, Tab S7 | S7 +, and ruggedized devices, including the XCover Pro, will be part of the Android Enterprise Recommended program. This gives customers even more options that meet standard Google requirements and ensure consistent performance and user experience for businesses. Together, Google and Samsung will continue to push the boundaries and deliver the best possible experiences to help business customers around the world achieve their digital transformation goals.
