Samsung is one of the few companies to offer something unique with Android tablets. Today, the company offers a new option. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro is official as a rugged tablet with support for two useful features.

Available from next month in Germany, the Tab Active Pro integrates into workflows where a normal tablet would be too fragile. It offers IP68 resistance to dust and water as well as a protective cover designed to withstand falls up to 1.2 meters in height.

The tablet has a 10-inch screen, larger than the 8-inch offers it previously had. The specifications are not confirmed, but the company has confirmed its support for an S pen that appears to be stored in the protective hood. In addition, the tablet supports DeX as the Galaxy Tab S6, which means it has a full desktop presentation on its own screen. Interestingly, it also uses physical buttons located under the screen.

At present, it's unclear when the Samsung Galaxy Pro Tab Pro will head to other markets. Prices start at 599 € and Samsung guarantees 4 years of software updates. Unfortunately, the company has not confirmed whether these are security updates or major platform upgrades.
