Samsung Launches Blockchain and DApp Software Development Kit

South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced the release of its block-based software development (SDK) and distributed application (DApp) in a recent publication on its website.

According to the announcement, the Samsung Blockchain SDK enables account management and backup, payment facilitation and digital signing, Samsung Keystore key support and more. The SDK page also explains that it is a superset of all SDKs, including the Samsung Blockchain Keystore SDK.

As reported Cointelegraph in February, the new Samsung smartphone, the Galaxy S10, includes storage of cryptocurrency private keys. In May, rumors began to circulate that the technology giant would also deploy blockchain compatible features on its models of smartphones.

More recently, in June, Samsung's IT subsidiary announced the launch of three new products to address blockchain customer concerns. The products aim to facilitate the integration of the blockchain with other platforms for entities seeking to adopt the technology.

The president and CEO of Samsung SDS also revealed that the company was making blockchain one of the key technologies of its "digital transformation network" in May.

Also in May, Samsung's High Tech Computer (HTC), the competition and consumer electronics giant, announced the launch of the Exodus 1S smartphone featuring full Bitcoin node capability (BTC), as well as the cryptocurrency trade in the wallet for the users of his smartphone Exodus 1.
