After months of speculation and leaks, S Pen support on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is official. The Notes are no longer the only Samsung phones to support the company’s styluses, and in fact, if you’re looking to get one for the S21 Ultra, you’ll even have a choice between the regular S Pen and an S Pen Pro. . .

Like the S Pen of the Note 20 Ultra, the S Pen Pro supports Bluetooth and will provide access to aerial gestures, allowing users to control media and presentations (among others) remotely. While there is no official information on its size, the S Pen Pro is much larger than the skinny stylus that comes with Note phones.

Samsung’s S Pen Pro

This means two things: first, it will be much more comfortable to use; two, it’ll be a bit of a problem to store as it probably won’t have a carrying case (due to its size) like the smaller S Pen.

Since the S Pen Pro didn’t get a lot of screen time during the event, there are still a few unanswered questions. It has no price yet; what can we expect to pay? We don’t know how it will be billed; wireless or wired charging, who knows? We’re also not sure if it will deliver a low latency experience like the Note 20 Ultra’s S Pen does. Probably more of this technology will continue, but confirmation remains elusive.

We hope these questions will be answered before the S Pen Pro launches later this year.
