Samsung to unveil its next flagship smartphones on January 14

As usual, a constant stream of pre-event leaks means we’re running out of things to surprise. Samsung has already opened pre-order reservations for its Galaxy smartphones, and a knowledgeable employee at Samsung’s flagship store in Bengaluru, India has confirmed the launch timing for Android Authority early December. And while Samsung hasn’t explicitly stated which devices it plans to announce, it’s almost certain that we’ll get our first official looks at the new Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra, possibly alongside a new set of Galaxy Buds wireless. (You can read everything we know about the S21 series so far here.)

Hosting a launch event this year in any given year is certainly unusual for Samsung, but the company’s moves later in the year can turn out to be even more surprising. On the one hand, some lingering rumors suggest that, rather than continuing to focus on growing its popular Galaxy Note devices in 2021, Samsung will turn to promoting “more accessible” foldable smartphones, including its first lesser models. Dear. These reports align perfectly with Samsung’s plan to make more of its devices compatible with the Galaxy Note-branded S Pen, including this year’s premium Galaxy S21 Ultra and possibly even Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold. Samsung smartphone chief TM Roh has already discussed these ambitions openly, but expect more information on Samsung’s priorities for 2021 once Unpacked kicks off properly.
