Samsung's 5G Galaxy S10 debuts in South Korea for the first time on April 5

Although South Korea's 5G network has been technically operational since 1 December, mobile operators have postponed an official launch because no compatible device was yet ready for sale. Price disagreements with the South Korean government further aggravated the delay. South Korean regulators finally approved tariff plans on Monday for 5G devices, according to VentureBeat.

But if you are outside of South Korea, you will have to wait; Samsung has not confirmed any release date in other countries for the S10 5G. If all goes well, US and UK customers will be able to buy the phones later this year. Verizon, which will be the first to transport them to the United States, plans to launch 5Gs in Chicago and Minneapolis on April 11 and expand to more than 30 other cities by the end of 2019. British customers will have to wait a little longer. EE, which has partnered with Samsung to sell the phones, plans to launch 5G in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast, Edinburgh and Manchester by this summer.
