Samsung has announced that it is expanding the ECG and blood pressure monitoring capabilities of its latest Galaxy Watch models to the UK and Europe, as well as Chile, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates for 31 new countries in total. So far, the feature has only been approved in South Korea and the United States, so approval in the EU and other countries will make the app available to a lot more people.
Users in these regions will have access to the Samsung Health Monitor app, which can be used with Galaxy Watch 3 and Watch Active 2 devices to monitor your blood pressure and ECG. This latter setting can tell you if your heartbeat is normal (sinus) or is beating irregularly (AFib). During this time, the blood pressure sensor can tell you if your blood pressure is too high, a sign of potential health problems.
