Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked will take place online on August 11

Samsung has just announced what appears to be its zillionth event this year. But at least this one is something we’ve been waiting for. The company just sent out invitations to Galaxy Unpacked for August 11 at 10 a.m. ET, and the event will be held online only.

In years past, Samsung-hosted August has launched for its Note series of high-powered phones. This time, however, several reports indicated that there would be no new note. It’s become a more likely possibility now, after the company brought Pen support to its Galaxy S21 flagships this year. The stylus has been a feature of the Note line since its inception and has set the series apart from its S brand siblings.

Instead of a new note, it’s more likely we’ll see new foldable phones like follow-ups to the Z Flip and Z Fold 2 depending on the invite. Samsung introduced more flexible screen designs in May, and while it may be some time before we see these designs in an actual product, the company is clearly continuing to work on the technology. Samsung has also confirmed that it will be launching a new Galaxy Watch this unboxing, and that the device will run a version of Wear OS that it co-designed with Google. There is also a good chance that Samsung will launch new headphones since the “Galaxy Buds 2” has been leaked twice this month.

We’ll be streaming Samsung’s event live on our YouTube channel, where we’ll host a pre-show and Q&A once the business is over. Join us to watch the launch live together and get your questions answered as quickly as possible.
