An apartment complex in San Antonio caught fire on Thursday following an alleged explosion of a water tank, prompting an evacuation of residents already besieged by deadly winter storms that have hit Texas and neighboring states this week.
The fire started on the second floor of the apartment complex in the 4000 block of TPC Parkway on the north side of town, KSAT reported.
The video shared by a Twitter user shows the flames spreading to other buildings.
Firefighters should have brought water to the scene to extinguish the flames, as the resort’s fire hydrants were not distributing water.

The Bexar-Bulverde Volunteer Fire Department was reportedly on the scene to help. No further information on possible injuries has been released.
The historic winter storm left Texas in shock. Demand for electricity to heat homes that were not used to such extreme dips overwhelmed the state’s electricity grid, leaving millions of people without heat for days.
