Sanders admits that his plan to fight climate change will lead to "pain" and "uncomfortable changes".

Senator Bernie Sanders, hope for 2020, spoke frankly Wednesday of his plan to fight climate change, warning Americans that there would be "suffering" and "uncomfortable" changes to save the planet.

At CNN's climate change marathon, Sanders was asked about the "biggest personal sacrifice" that he is asking Americans to deal with climate change.

"We are going to have to change the nature of many things we are doing right now," Sanders began.

The Vermont legislator then referred to products such as cars with an "internal combustion engine" and "old-fashioned" bulbs and explained how he hoped to encourage his users to adopt a more energy efficient product.

He also called for an end to "industrial farming" because it is "a danger to the environment" and promoted "family farming".

"There will be a transition and there will be some pain there," continued Sanders. "There will be changes and we will have to ask people to understand that we need to make these changes now even if they are going to be a bit uncomfortable for future generations."

Sanders, a leading supporter of the ultra-progressive Green New Deal, has released his own climate change plan, which costs $ 16 trillion.
