Sandra Bullock landed a plum role opposite Brad Pitt in one of the most anticipated new films.

The Oscar-winning star will join her friend Jennifer Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt for the thriller Bullet Train, according to Tuesday’s Deadline report.

The action film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka.

This is the first time Sandra, 56, and Brad, 57, will perform together.

They have several friends in common: in addition to Aniston, there is George Clooney (Sandra played with him in Gravity and Brad worked with him in Ocean’s 11) as well as Cate Blanchett (Sandra worked with her on Ocean’s 8 and Brad played with the icon in Babel and The Curious Benjamin Button).

In July, Brad and Sandra worked together via Zoom on United We Sing: A Grammy Tribute to the Unsung Heroes.

In 2014, they were on stage together in New Orleans for a Make It Right gala.

Also among the cast are Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Masi Oka and Andrew Koji.

Bullock was last seen in Bird Box and will next be in director Nora Fingscheidt’s untitled drama.

Pitt last starred in Ad Astra and he’s producing the upcoming Blonde movie.

In January, King shared a dramatic selfie from the set of his new movie Bullet Train.

The star posed with her costar Brian Tyree Henry.

King, who gained notoriety for starring in the Netflix film series The Kissing Booth, posed with Henry in face shields for the black and white photo.

The couple had no absurd expressions on their faces, with Joey staring at the camera with a straight look and Brian giving his best growl.

The young actress had her hair in a straight, crisp bob, with thick makeup around her eyes.

She was wearing a preppy knit cardigan, dress shirt, and neck tie.

Brian was dressed the same, with a denim jacket.

King captioned the photo: ‘Please prepare your tickets for the killer, I mean the conductor.’

She added the emoji for a train, as well as the hashtag #BulletTrainMovie.

The film, following five assassins aboard the same high-speed locomotive.

Lady Gaga is also said to have a role in the film, although this has not been confirmed.

Bullet Train is directed by David Leitch from Deadpool 2.

The film was reportedly shot in Los Angeles, California within the past two months.

Prior to this project, Joey finished filming on The Kissing Booth 3, alongside ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi.

Other upcoming projects for King include the comedy-drama Camp, as well as the TV miniseries A Spark of Light.

In 2019, she won a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the compelling miniseries Hulu The Act.
