Things got worse for the Giants at Daniel Jones' first start in the NFL.
Offensive halfback Saquon Barkley was assisted in the locker room by two of the team's coaching staff, with only two minutes remaining in the first half of their match against the Buccaneers. We do not know exactly what annoys Barkley, but he seemed to have twisted his ankle badly at the end of a play in the second quarter.
Barkley also missed a few games earlier in the match as he was assessed in the blue medical tent after a blow to the head. He struggled to get things done on the field since he ran ten times for a total of 18 yards.
Wayne Gallman is the next substitute for the Giants, who follow the Bucs 18-10 late in the first half.
