The NFL announced the Super Bowl LV umpiring team on Tuesday.

Carl Cheffers was named the match referee. He refereed the Super Bowl LI and refereed 17 playoff games during his career.

Bottom judge Sarah Thomas will be part of the Cheffers team. Thomas will be the first woman to officiate a Super Bowl. She is also the first woman to officiate an NFL game.
