‘He doesn’t often get the chance to get out of the house because it’s such a difficult process now – getting dressed, being strapped securely into our wheelchair van, you know how it goes. Things that were once so easy like putting on shorts, sunscreen, and getting in the car for an adventure are a lot harder now.

Sarah was open about her father’s illness on the ABC show and told Bachelor Matt James about his health battle in the first episode earlier this month.

When she was featured on the show, she revealed, “ I was 19 when we got this diagnosis and it was completely shocking.

‘Like, how can you figure this out, your dad has a terminal illness? Luckily, he’s still alive and he’s still in a good mood.

Sarah left the bachelor’s degree in tears during Monday’s episode amid concerns for her ailing father and problems getting along with the other women on the show.

The other women at Nemacolin Resort began to lose patience with Sarah, a radio reporter from San Diego, after continuing to steal time with Matt, 29.

She repeatedly needed Matt to reassure her that their connection was real, to the point of even interrupting her group date and hiding in her room until he found her.

Her behavior has led some women to label Sarah “toxic”, “calculated” and “manipulative”.

Sarah tried to make amends and Serena Chew, 24, a flight attendant from San Francisco, slammed, “You burned all the bridges.

“ I hope your bond with Matt is really strong right now because the rest of your life here is going to be horrible, ” said Kit Keenan, 21, a socialite from New York.

The only person who supported her was Katie Thurston, 29, director of banking marketing from Renton, Washington, who said after listening to them: “I didn’t like that at all.”

Sarah told Katie, “I really believe in the feelings I have for him, but I’m not made for that. I just can’t give it my all. All my worst insecurities come out. I really have to put my wellness first, and I’m not in a good free space here,

“ And I haven’t really told you about the situation with my dad, but he’s got a terminal illness, and it’s not like years or months, it’s like weeks. So that really weighs on my heart too – time away from him. And I thought I was ready for it, but I have to be true to myself.
