Steve Sargsyan is in the process of hiring its freshmen at the University of Texas and is looking to tap into Alabama’s resources for several assistants, Football Scoop reports. Sarkisian targets former Crimson Tide offensive analyst AJ Milwee as quarterbacks coach, Football Scoop sources say, wants Alabama assistant Holmon wiggins to oversee his wide receivers with Alabama offensive lineman Kyle Flood as his new offensive coordinator and lineman.
“Milwee spent two years between Akron and Arkansas State as an offensive analyst in Alabama, and is expected to operate hand-in-hand with Sarkisian,” writes Football Scoop’s Zach Barnett. “While Sarkisian should set the direction of the attack and call the games on match day, Milwee will assist Sarkisian in the development of the quarterback and handle the day-to-day aspects of the position.”
Alabama’s offensive line has been the best in the country this season under Flood’s tutelage as the Joe Moore Award winner. Flood is a former Atlanta Falcons assistant led by Dan Quinn and the Rutgers head coach. Flood does not have recent experience as a stakeholder, which could mean Sarkisian is in control of the offense himself if this hire goes ahead.
Alabama Tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Jeff Banks is also mentioned as a potential candidate, according to Football Scoop.
Sarkisian was introduced as the new head coach in Austin on Saturday, a day after leading Alabama to a 31-14 victory over Notre Dame in the college football playoff semifinals. Sarkisian won the Broyles Award this fall as the nation’s best assistant, helping fuel Crimson Tide’s offensive efforts for a record production with Heisman finalists Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith.
Sarkisian will be sidelined for the Crimson Tide Jan. 11 against Ohio State in the National Championship game. Sarkissian thanked the Alabama coach on Saturday Nick saban for giving him an opportunity on his team.

Alabama will face Ohio State on Monday night in the national championship game and Sarkisian will take over in Texas shortly thereafter, he said.
