Saturday: 1,060 new cases of coronavirus confirmed since Wednesday in Wyo, 2,382 recoveries

CASPER, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Health announced on Saturday, November 28, that there have been 27,738 cases of coronavirus in Wyoming since the start of the pandemic. This is an increase of 1,060 since Wednesday’s report. 88.2% of these cases have been reported since September 1.

A record 1,251 new confirmed cases were reported on Monday, November 23.

4,191 probable cases were reported in Wyoming on Saturday by the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), an increase of 107 since Wednesday.

The WDH reported 13 additional COVID-19-related deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total to 215 since the start of the pandemic.

The WDH has reported 75 new laboratory-confirmed cases in Natrona County since Wednesday. The total has risen to 3,932 since the start of the pandemic. Natrona has seen 36 new probable cases reported since Wednesday, bringing the total to 852.

As of Friday morning, the effective reproduction rate of the virus in Wyoming was 1.15, according to Rt.live. The number reflects the average number of new cases each case is expected to create. Anytime the effective reproduction rate is above 1.0, COVID-19 is expected to spread rapidly.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 225 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized across Wyoming on Thanksgiving Day Thursday. On September 13, 13 patients with COVID-19 were reported in hospitals in Wyoming.

2,382 new recoveries of a laboratory-confirmed case have been reported since Wednesday, for a total of 19,780. 303 other probable recovered cases have also been reported for a total of 3,018.

2,333 people with a laboratory-confirmed case and 479 people with a probable case have recovered in Natrona County, or 527 new recoveries since Wednesday.
