Today Sunday, the Sheikh Zayed Criminal Court in Egypt sentenced journalist Amr Adib to a fine of 10,000 pounds for insulting and defaming artist Mohamed Ramadan.
The controversial star’s lawyer had filed a complaint against the media, Amr Adib, for defamation, threats, insults, slander and abuse of influence, demanding financial compensation of 100,000 pounds.
The journalist also submitted previous reports against artist Mohamed Ramadan, accused of arguing and insulting Ramadan, and of making fun of him in videos on his page on communication sites.

And Tariq Jamil Saeed, Amr Adib’s lawyer, revealed in previous statements to “Al Arabiya.net” that he had submitted four communications to the attorney general against the artist, Mohamed Ramadan, because of what he had published against the media, adding that he had made several accusations against the artist, namely: invasion of the sanctity of privacy and deliberate exploitation of software and information technology to process personal data of others in order to link them to content that is contrary to good morals and to display them in a way that would undermine their dignity and honor.
He also said he had directed Ramadan against other charges of humiliation, ridicule and undermining family values, as well as charges of slander and insult.
The reporter was indirectly mocked by Ramadan by posting a video, “Bas Ya Baba”, and another video in which Ramadan assaults a fellow actor in a television scene that was set up following Adeeb’s advice regarding the case of driver and money throw the crisis.
Adeeb said during his program “Al-Hekaya” broadcast on MBC Egypt, speaking to Ramadan, “If no one brings you up, I will run away from you. This country has a law that applies to everyone.”
