12 teams from Saudi Arabia and the Arab world participate in the “Red Sea Film Festival”

The Red Sea International Film Festival announced today (Thursday) that 12 projects have been selected to participate in the Red Sea Laboratory program for the current year from Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, distributed as follows: 6 from Saudi Arabia and 6 between Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon. A team of directors, producers and authors participate in each project, with women directing half of the projects and producing three.
The selected talents are scheduled to participate in 4 workshops organized via the Internet, and a final one to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during the next session of the International Red Sea Film Festival, where each team will present their project in front of the most important workers in the film industry among producers and distributors around the world. An independent jury will also select two projects to win the Lab Prize, each receiving a production grant of $ 100,000, and the opportunity to host the film’s premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2022.
The intensive training program of the Red Sea factory spans a period of 8 months and is organized in cooperation with the “Turin Film Lab”, a leading international institution in the training and development of talents and of projects. Business aspects, including finance, sales and promotion. This integrated program is overseen by a group of trainers and international experts who will work with each team to develop projects and help them achieve the success they deserve.

The selected projects have varied in form and content, from films dealing with biographies of historical and emotional figures, to fictional fantasy and the journey of self-discovery. He has also covered a range of social topics, including contemporary personal challenges facing marriage and family, the effects of mental health, pain, and the beauty of love and life. And a set of articulation phases in history, from the expansion of the Mughal Empire, to the beginnings of oil exploration.
