WASHINGTON – Windows 10 will store 7GB of internal storage space each update, Microsoft announced today.
The company has released a screenshot showing that the reserved storage space would be 7.02 GB.
"Windows retains some storage to ensure good performance and successful updates to your device," Microsoft said in a comment.
The operating system giant warned that the amount of space reserved could change in the future, depending on the enabled features or languages installed on the device.
"With the reserved storage, some of the disk space will be used by updates, applications, temporary files and system storage," said the company.
