Google: 60% of passwords are compromised

A new Google study revealed that many of its users were using pirated passwords, which meant that their data might leak. The study found that 60% of new passwords are protected against hacking and 96% were more powerful than the original password. Google pointed out that users had to stop using the same password for multiple sites in case they would be careful not to disclose their data, according to "gizmodo". Google collected the study data from 670,000 users who installed the Google Chrome browser extension to verify the password (Password Verification) and logged on 21 million times to websites.
