A consultant in pediatric and neonatal surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of Jazan University drove a large truck 700 km from Jizan to Mecca to help serve pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The video showed that consultant Madani Ali Al-Issa, the medical services supervisor at Jazan University, was driving the truck, which includes a mobile clinic equipped with various modern medical devices. He is the only one of the Kingdom to possess 8 million riyals, equipped by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Jazan.

The doctor said that he was keen to drive the truck himself to get more care with the valuable equipment contained in the clinic, noting that it includes two clinics for clinical examination, a radiotherapy unit and a integrated laboratory, and that he planned to provide medical services to about 10,000 pilgrims.

According to Al-Issa, the mobile clinic has about 50 employees for 24 hours. He pointed out that if the truck suffered damage on the road and did not reach Mecca, the whole project for which they had worked during the pilgrimage would fail.
