Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, chairman of the Hajj Central Committee, revealed that many development projects are under way in the Holy Places in the near future.
"We are looking forward to working to make Mecca a smart city," said Al Faisal at the closing Hajj pilgrimage press conference this year.
He pointed out that the decision to determine the number of pilgrims in each country was unanimously taken by an Islamic conference among the Islamic countries, noting that it depended on the population of each country and that the number of pilgrims increased with the population.
He pointed out that the percentage of pilgrims violated by 29% of pilgrimages this year, exceeding 298,000 violators.
