How to report fake news on Instagram

Instagram announced last week the addition of a new feature allowing users to report posts containing false information, in order to eliminate false information and other violations suffered by users during of the recent period.

In the United States, this feature is already available. It will be accessible to all users in the world within two weeks.

Note that this feature will be available on the Instagram application on the operating systems (iOS) and (Android), but will not be available initially on the Instagram website.

Here's how to report fake news on Instagram:

• Open the Instagram app on your phone and head to the message you want to post.
• Tap the three vertical dots in the right corner of the image to open the drop-down menu.
• Select Report, and then select C is inappropriate.
• Click False information to report the message.

For now, the only way to block these account views from stories is to make your account private – although this is not ideal for people looking to increase the number of subscribers – up to Instagram introduces new historical measures.
