The average price of the dollar in Egypt was established against the Egyptian pound on Wednesday at the beginning of the session, at 16.52 pounds to buy, against 16.62 pounds on sale in Egyptian banks and securities firms, either the same price Tuesday.

In the midst of commercial calm, the dollar's rate at the National Bank, the country's largest public bank, fell slightly by a penny "pound = 100 piastres" from Tuesday's price, registering 16.51 pounds at the purchase and 16.61 pounds for sale, at the same price in Arab Banking Corporation and in Egypt.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the highest price of the dollar at 16.53 pounds to buy and 16.63 pounds for sale, while the dollar recorded in the housing banks, housing and in Alexandria the lowest price at 16.49 pounds to buy 16.59 pounds for sale.

The US currency of Commercial International Bank Egypt, the largest private bank in the country, was worth £ 16.5 for the purchase, compared to £ 16.6 for sale, at the same price in the banks of Arab Africa and at Bloom and Ahli Greek in Egypt.

Prices in dollars varied in other banks: Credit Agricole, Al Baraka, Egyptian Export Bank, United Bank and Egyptian Gulf Bank reached 16.51 LE for the purchase and 16.61 for the sale.

A research note published Tuesday by Capital Economics, based in London, on the gravity of the rise in foreign debt vis-à-vis Egypt, noted that the recent appreciation of the pound against the dollar "made the relatively fair currency ", although the value of the pound remains 15% lower than its value Fair value before floating currency in November 2016.

Net foreign exchange reserves reached $ 44.91 billion at the end of July, compared with $ 44.35 billion at the end of June.

For the rest of the foreign currencies and according to the prices of the National Bank of Egypt, the purchase price of the euro was 18.32 pounds and 18.45 pounds sold, and the price of 20.06 pounds to buy 19.99 pounds and sell 20.23 pounds.

For Arab currencies, the price of the Saudi Arabian riyal was set at 4.40 pounds at the time of purchase and at 4.43 pounds for sale, the UAE dirham was established at 4.49. pounds to buy and 4.52 pounds for sale, while the price of the Kuwaiti dinar to buy at 54.30 pounds against 54.67 pounds.

The Politics Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt is scheduled to meet on Thursday to discuss interest rate shift rates.
