Aston Villa director, Dean Smith, said Egyptian star Mohamed Salah was Liverpool defender Wesley Morayes.
Wesley left Belgian Belgium for Aston Villa this summer and made his first two appearances in the league, but did not score.
"I do not judge the attacker early in the season," Smith said of the Brazilian fast's goal of the fast.
"He's still behind Salah with a goal for the moment," he told the press conference before Everton.
Salah, the league's top scorer in the last two seasons, scored in the first two games.
"I'm not frustrated by Wesley or the rest of the team, he has created opportunities for his teammates, and he's getting better and better," Smith said.
Aston Villa should face Everton on Friday at the opening of the third round of the Premier League.
