Minister Attiyah Visits Yemeni Pilgrims in Makkah Hospitals

Dr. Ahmed Attia, Minister of Awqaf and Orientations, examined Thursday, August 22, 2019 the state of health of patients of Yemeni pilgrims treated in hospitals in Mecca.

Mr. Attiyah was briefed on the conditions of detention of patients at King Abdulaziz and King Faisal hospitals, as well as the nature of the health care provided to them after some of them had been operated on or those in the sleep departments and intensive care.

The minister asked the medical commission of the Hajj mission in Yemen to monitor all patients in coordination with the relevant authorities of the Saudi Ministry of Health.

Minister Attiyah appreciated the great interest and health care provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims, Yemenis and foreigners.

In addition, the Minister of Awqaf and Directions of the Ministry of Health concerned and the Yemeni Medical Commission listened to a detailed explanation of the cases and deaths of pilgrims and the degree of great coordination between the Yemeni and Saudi sides to receive and monitor all cases and to complete their treatment.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Raqeeb Mehrez, chairman of the medical commission of the Hajj mission in Yemen, paid tribute to the Awqaf ministry and Councils for all cases since the beginning of this year's Hajj season.

He pointed out that the medical committee is working to follow up and refer all patients to Saudi hospitals according to the health status of the pilgrim.
