Dion Weisler, HP's Australian CEO, announced his resignation for family health reasons after more than four years of service. He will be replaced by veteran Enrique Lores.
Lores has been with HP for 30 years. He currently leads printing, enterprise and imaging solutions. He will take office on November 1st.
He will remain a transition assistant until January 2020 and will retain his seat on the board of directors until the next shareholders' meeting next spring.
Lores joined HP as an apprentice engineer and subsequently strengthened his duties to strengthen his powers. He has been instrumental in the acquisition of Samsung's $ 1 billion printer business, as well as in HP's participation as a shareholder.
HP 's fourth quarter business revenue amounted to $ 14.60 billion, lower than analysts' forecasts due to a decline in printer sales.
It should be noted that the famous HP company split in 2015 into two companies, the first sells computers and the second sells servers and storage solutions and services to businesses.
