KFC, the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) fast food chain, plans to start serving vegetable-based chicken meals Tuesday, in partnership with American meat-substitute manufacturer BianMate.

The exclusive chicken-based plant experience will take place in a Kentucky chain in Atlanta, Georgia. This chain of restaurants will be the first American fast food chain to offer meat-based beans.

The pioneers of the selected restaurant will be able to choose samples of "Kentucky Boneless Wings" or "Kentucky Chicken Pieces", but they do not contain meat.

"KFC's Fried Foot Chicken will be very tasty and customers will find it hard to realize that they are made only from vegetable ingredients," said Kevin Hoshman, KFC's General Manager.

BeanMate has been offering alternative meat products based on vegetable ingredients since 2009 and has since been offering alternatives to beef and poultry in many restaurants and retailers around the world.

The announcement of the partnership with KFC Restaurants resulted in a 6% increase in BianMate shares on Monday.
