Antonio Conte
The coach of Inter Milan, Antonio Conte, congratulated the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who scored in the opening match of the A-series.
The 26-year-old joined Inter Milan from Manchester United on a € 65 million deal during the transfer.
Inter Milan crushed Lecce in a match that pitted the two teams in the first round of the Serie A, at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, with four draws.
Lukaku scored the third goal of the match, scoring the first official goals of Inter Milan, while the other goals were scored by Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi and Antonio Karnidja.
Conté responds to accusations of "spending a lot of money"
Conté said in a press release issued at the end of the meeting that Lukaku had proved by his performance at the game yesterday that he deserved his club's big attempts to engage the player.
"Today, Lukaku explained to everyone why the club had tried so hard to get the player into the team."
"Lukaku has cost 65 million euros to the coffers of the club, that 's true, but do not forget that they are paid over five years," he said.
