A workshop for women on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trade, entitled "Health for Justice and Justice for Health", was held Tuesday at the Committee's headquarters fight against drugs.
The purpose of the workshop is to review the efforts of the General Secretariat in the care and rehabilitation of drug addicts, to examine the rights of drug users as a patient in need of health, prevention and treatment services. and to identify ways of providing social services to drug addicts and the rights of drug-addicted prisoners.
Ghalia Nasser Bin Humaid, director of the women's program department at the secretariat of the National Narcotics Control Committee, explained that the workshop was part of the annual prevention programs proposed by the secretariat of the Committee, in coordination with the relevant sectors, in order to create a community culture aware of the dangers of drugs. .
It should be noted that the workshop included four specialized scientific sessions in the field of drug control, in addition to reviewing the efforts of the General Secretariat of the National Narcotics Control Committee in this area, with a number of recommendations aimed at achieving its scientific objectives and development proposals, as well as at achieving a high level of safety and security for the country and the citizen.
