Gold in Egypt
The price of gold jumped 5 pounds per gram on Wednesday in the local Egyptian market, making it the highest price in its history.
Amir Rizk, a member of the Jewelry and Jewelery Association, said the rise in the price of gold was expected and that it had been going on since last June.
Rizk said in statements to the newspaper "Al-Masry Al-Youm": "We expect that it will continue to rise to break a record hurdle at the end of September".
Rizk also expects the price of one gram to reach about 900 pounds by the end of the year, pointing out that this increase has helped calm the market in transactions, with the exception of the request for the purchase of bullion and sterling, as well as the break-up of gold as an investment.
The price rise for gold 5 pounds locally, and recorded the price of one gram of 21 carats today 710 pounds, up from 705 yesterday, while the gram of 18 carats of 609 pounds , and 811 pounds to 24 grams of carats, and the price of the gold pound 5680 pounds.
