Google has added new options to its mapping service to make it easier for users to travel by public transport.
Among the new options are the addition of two new options to transit routes, namely: bike services and participatory transportation services.
Google explained how the new feature works by saying, "Enter your destination in the search box, then click on Route, then on the transit tab, from there you'll automatically see routes with options." riding or cycling, as well as directions for public transportation. "
The company added that if the user decided to take a car, he would have access to useful information about each stage of the trip, its cost, its duration and the time of departure of the bus or the train.
The user can also choose a preferred driving service as a priority.
If the user decides to ride a bike, he will see the best routes for cyclists with all the information they need on the part of the trip. All this information will be automatically calculated according to the total duration of the trip and the expected arrival time.
The bike and suburban services will be available in the coming weeks on Android and iOS in 30 countries around the world.
