UAE Health launches Initiative for the Empowerment of Health Services for Women

The Government Accelerator Team of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection has launched the "Empowering Women's Health Services" initiative, which aims to increase the number of medical visits to women and health facilities by 70%. during the first six weeks after delivery, with the aim of accelerating women's empowerment and leadership.

This initiative is in line with the achievement of the objectives of the government accelerators launched by His Highness the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Sovereign of Dubai, as well as concerted efforts between the 39, Women's General Union, Ministry of Health and Community Protection, Abu Dhabi Health Department and Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health. The initiative aims to consolidate the culture of visits and medical examinations to women after delivery, to monitor the health of the mother and her child, to carry out the necessary tests, to make women aware of changes psychological issues that may arise in her life, and to raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding for her and her child. In June, His Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak announced the launch of the fifth group of government accelerators, with the participation of 30 government and private entities, working to meet a number of challenges in 100 days, focusing on quality of life for women at all stages of life and providing marriage counseling services for years. First marriage reduced licensing procedures for early childhood institutions, established a gender balance in the financial and banking sectors, increased the employment rate of persons with disabilities with a focus on the category of women and provided specialized health care services to women after delivery.
