Apple grants some stores the right to repair iPhone phones

When your iPhone is under warranty, it is wise to send it back to Apple for repair, because it will cost you almost nothing. However, if your phone is out of warranty, returning it to Apple for repair will be very expensive.

That's why some customers choose to entrust their iPhone to repair centers other than Apple. Apple has criticized these practices, but the company seems ready to compromise. Apple recently launched a new program called Independent Repair Program. This means that small repair shops will have the opportunity to officially repair their iPhone.

These stores will have access to the original Apple components, training and resources provided to the company's authorized repair service providers. Interested companies can in fact register for free, their employees also having to follow a pilot program provided by Apple.

We do not know if this software is useful, but it can help small businesses that had previously had to buy black market iPhone components that are not necessarily genuine.

Apple has been criticized for some of its past practices with regard to informal repairs. For example, shortly after, Apple decided to make changes that would prevent the battery health of the iPhone from appearing if it was repaired in an informal repair shop.
