Google has unveiled a new feature designed to inform your email senders of your breaks so that they do not bother you during this time and that they do not expect any response from you.
The advantage is that you save an OOTO note, which means "Out of Office", to specify your vacation days. So when someone tries to send you an email via Gmail or tries to chat with you via Hangouts, a bar will appear to tell you that you are online. Leave and tell him when you go back to work.
At this point, the sender has the choice to choose whether he wants to send you an email or write to you via Hang Oates. You reply when you return or wait from the beginning to the end of your vacation to get a quick response from you.
The company confirmed that the new feature would be available from today for business subscribers in its G Suite services, and would reach general users well after a while.
