The tablet market is at a standstill, from both a consumer and manufacturer point of view, but Microsoft still does not seem to have given up, as they are developing a new Windows 10 interface design for tablets.
Microsoft has started testing a new design for mobile devices – laptops that are not so different from the Windows 10 interface for laptops and desktops, but with improvements that make them more adapted.
As we already know, Windows 10 already has a tablet mode that removes the icons from the taskbar and places them in a Start menu in full screen. The new design abandons these ideas with special tactile support.
In the new mode, we notice that the traditional desktop interface remains visible, with the taskbar icons appearing, but increasing the space between them for easier clicks.
The search field has also disappeared and an icon to display a virtual keyboard appears. More importantly, the file explorer has become a touch design.
The new design is currently being tested with Windows Insiders and, depending on the comments and changes you make, we will officially see it later.
Note that this design is specifically designed for 2 in 1 mobile devices and not just for tablets on which they have a complete user experience.
