"We have informed the Ministry of Health and regulators of the sensitivity of this topic in the light of the crazy prices of drugs and other essential goods imposed on citizens," continued the chairman of the Committee on Health and Welfare in Parliament Iranian.

The Iranian official cited an example of high drug prices resulting from the exploitation of some of the sanctions crises.

Reports from a number of Iranian media outlets on the crisis of drug scarcity in the markets recently revealed several cases of selling expired and adulterated drugs on the "black market", in light of the crisis of the fall of the local currency and the wave of high prices in the country.
