Researchers have now learned more about the impact of these clouds on the planet's climate.

The researchers looked for changes in the "whiteness" of the planet or how much it absorbed the infected light. She found that it seemed to change radically: between 2006 and 2017, the amount of light reflected back into space was halved and then began to increase again.

Similarly, these changes have had a significant impact on the amount of solar energy absorbed by the clouds. A strong activity is therefore visible in the atmosphere of the planet, where the clouds run at a speed greater than 200 km / hour.

But scientists still do not know why these dramatic changes have occurred.
