As part of its plan to make the province of Khobar one of the 100 largest cities in the world, the Eastern Province Secretariat intends to carry out the implementation of the project. aiming to transform the metropolitan cities of Dammam so that they become friendly with people with disabilities and the elderly before 2020.

For his part, the secretary of the region, Fahad Al-Jubeir, will prepare Monday the studies and plans of the Secretariat to reach the cities of Dammam at this level to allow people with disabilities to participate in society independently.

Al-Jubeir said that in the next three years, pedestrian walkways and residential neighborhoods will be put in place to facilitate the mobility of people with disabilities and older people, through a set of related conditions issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs .
