DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) – Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Federation and the West African Football Confederation (AFC), said he was looking forward to launching the logo of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Prince Ali said on his official page on Twitter: "We are waiting for the Arabs and the announcement of the official slogan of the first World Cup in the Middle East and the Arab world. We are pleased that Amman and several capitals and Arab cities adhere to this historic announcement today.
The organizing committee of the Qatar 2022 World Cup announced that it will unveil the tournament's logo on all its digital platforms in Doha and in several Arab capitals.
Doha will host the biggest football tournament, for the first time in its history and history of the Middle East, after winning the right to organize in 2010.
Several doubts were expressed about Qatar's eligibility to win the right to host the tournament after the publication of several reports on "corruption" issues during the battle that the organizing committee has organized to organize the world event.
Several parties called for the withdrawal of the right to organize the Qatar World Cup on the back of the news that a number of officials in the case would be linked to corruption cases, but FIFA maintained the right of Qatar to organize the tournament.
