Al-Ahli's board of directors, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, has decided to expel Khaled Asr and Omar Bedair from the two Moroccan table tennis players and deprive them of their participation in the Arab championship.
Al-Ahli made the decision to evict, suspend and dismiss the players for investigation because of the violence they had suffered during an altercation at the hotel's residence .
Al-Ahli rejected what happened between the members of the team and described the scene as incompatible with the values and principles of the club.
The table tennis team is in Morocco for the Arab Championship.
Raouf Abdel Kader, the club's sports director, received a phone call Monday evening from coach Ashraf Abdel Fattah with all the details of the incident.
The club's sporting director approached the issue with Mahmoud Al Khatib, the club's president, who decided to deport the duo and deprive him of participation in the Arab championship and his investigation.
