Huawei Consumer CEO Richard Yu will deliver the opening address at IFA 2019 in Berlin later this week, during which the Chinese company is expected to unveil its new flagship processor, HiSilicon Kirin, 990 days. On September 6th, just hours before the Qualcomm conference, she will focus on 5G technology.

There is a contest here. The theme of the main conference to be held in Berlin will be "Rethinking Evolution," but Huawei announced the organization of a separate event in Beijing at the same time. The slogan of this event to be held in China is "Reconstruction".

Hisilicon Kirin 990 should have a built-in 5G modem, which means it will not rely on an external modem such as the Snapdragon 855 + processor. Even if these rumors do not materialize, we expect 5G to be an important part of the Huawei conference.

All this lays the groundwork for the official unveiling of the Huawei Mate 30 Series phones on the 19th of September as well, and exactly in the German city of Munich. Huawei will take this opportunity to try to influence the European Union and local telecommunications companies to involve them in the deployment of 5G networks on the old continent.

Based on what we know so far, the HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor will be manufactured with 7nm technology and could become the first processor to use the latest ARM Cortex-A77 cores, which could increase its performance of 20%. Other unconfirmed information claim that the new graphics processor will have an energy saving of 50%, while the HiSilicon Kirin 990 will be the first Huawei processor to offer the ability to record 4K videos at 60 frames per second.
