Google strives to prevent phishing via random calendar calls via Gmail

Google said yesterday that it was working to solve the problem of random invitations for Gemayel users.

These invitations often contain insecure links that are exploited to serve as a starting point for targeting the sacrificed user by moving it to malware sites.

The company raised this issue, which started last May via its support platform, claiming that she was aware of the problem in the agenda, was working hard to solve it and would provide the public with all the money. up to date.

In the same context, and in the absence of the company to set a specific date for sending this bug for a moment, the user can avoid this problem by disabling the default settings to link events on the calendar, by first entering his Google account via the browser.

Then go to the calendar, tap the settings menu and scroll down to the "Add events automatically" option, then choose "No, only the answers to the invitations". See the attached image:

You can take another precaution to prevent events from being linked to the calendar from the same settings page and deselect the option "Automatically add Gmail events to my calendar" as shown in the following image:
