Al-Zanati is the director of the competition committee of the football federation, replacing Amer Hussein.

FIFA has announced the appointment of the new chairman of the competition committee, who will succeed Amer Hussein, who has resigned in recent weeks.

The Egyptian Federation has decided to appoint Hossam El-Zanaty, Deputy Director of the 2019 Africa Nations Cup of Nations, Director of the Competitions Department of the Egyptian Football Federation, and to appoint Sayed Bakheet as Rapporteur of the Committee of the competitions.

It was also decided to appoint Mohamed El-Sherai, former Chief Financial Officer of the African Football Confederation, new Financial Director of the Egyptian Football Federation, and Ahmed Moheb, Financial Adviser of the Federation.

Ahmed Tawfiq Hafez and Saeed Hanafi have been accredited as volunteers in the Football Federation's Legal Committee to deal with foreign affairs and FIFA.
