Riyadh newspaper Kevin Hart is seriously injured in a car accident in California

Kevin Hart was seriously injured in a car accident in Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol Agency announced on Friday.

Hart, 40, was in a 1970s Plymouth Barracuda car early Sunday on the Mulholland Highway when the driver lost control of the car, causing the vehicle to roll over, the agency said in a statement. Reuters news.

The agency did not specify the nature of Hart's injuries, but the TMZ celebrity news site reported that his back had been injured.

Jerid Black was also seriously injured in the accident, the agency said, adding that he was not driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hart, known for his comic roles in films such as Ride Along, was able to leave the scene with a second uninjured passenger and went to his nearby home for medical care.

Hart was taken to the Northridge Hospital Medical Center and the driver was taken to another hospital.

Hart's media agent did not respond to requests for comment.
