LONDON (Reuters) – Early bowel cancer has been diagnosed for Angus Macdonald, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old's club "is shown very calm" in its reaction to the diagnosis, the club said in a statement.
"The city of Hull is sad to announce that Angus McDonald has been diagnosed with early bowel cancer," said the club in a statement.
"McDonald showed great personal strength in his response to this news.
"The physical and mental health of McDonald's is a top priority for us right now," Hull said in a statement.
McDonald joined Hull City from Barnsley in January 2018, making 14 appearances.
