The Riyadh Municipality announced that it was opening traffic last night in front of vehicles at the intersection of Imam Abdullah Bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Road and Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road.
The Secretariat added that the opening had taken place after the completion of the implementation of traffic improvements and the application of the CFI continuous traffic system at the intersection , which aimed to increase the efficiency of the intersection and reduce the delay time of vehicle traffic.
The idea of this type of intersection is to separate the left-turn movement from the direct traffic, by mirror intersections located before the main intersection, and by reversing traffic from the usual direction, while direct displacement continue to move towards the main intersection without the need to identify the intersection in the opposite direction.
