Sony's popular 1000X series Sony has acquired a third model called Sony WI-1000XM2. These new headphones of Japanese society adopt a design that wraps around the neck.
The Sony 1000X series has been hailed for its excellent noise cancellation and exceptional battery life. However, Sony has always been clear on the fact that it has not yet finished the Sony 1000X series and that new models were being developed in its laboratories in Japan.
According to Sony, each Sony WI-1000XM2 headset has a 9mm amplifier, while the microphone is in the band that surrounds the neck. More importantly, Sony has used the same advanced QN1 noise reduction processor that is used in modern noise reduction headphones, including Sony WI-1000XM3. A Sony smartphone app lets you adjust the amount of external noise you want to hear when you wear a headset. This option allows you to continue to hear traffic while listening to songs or to completely block external noise.
As with other Sony 1000X series speakers, the new Sony WI-1000XM2 supports Bluetooth and 3.5mm connectors. This means that with the right cable, you can connect it to an integrated entertainment system, for example. When you're done, both headphones stick magnetically for easy portability.
As a general rule, the new Sony WI-1000XM2 offers 10 hours of use and accepts USB Type C charging. 10 minutes of charging gives you 80 minutes of listening time. However, these new helmets should be available for purchase in January next year at a price of 300 euros, which equates to 370 USD.
